Wisconsin and Southern Dec 2007 Santa Train (Soo 1003)
Originating in Plymouth, WI the WSOR Santa Special was lead by a 1913 ALCO 2-8-2 Steam locomotive originally built as SOO Line 1003. It was a very snowy Saturday and Wisconsin was getting more snow than what was predicted, but that only added to the effect and excitement of this awesome steam locomotive. They were running on the WSOR Plymouth Sub which was laid by the Milwaukee Road the merged with SOO Line who was bought by Canadian Pacific who sold the line to Wisconsin Central who was bought by Canadian National who sold it to the State of Wisconsin who leased it to Wisconsin and Southern. Please enjoy, I have included pictures at the end of the video that i took with my new 40D that i just bought myself for Christmas. Special thanks to my friends Ed and Lampy for asking me to come with and showing me how to use my new camera. Finally I hope everybody has an enjoyable and safe holiday season! Note: The original video was removed because the ending audio was a copyright problem with a band called Savage, however the song was by TransSiberian Orchestra the apeal was processed and reject so I was forced to change the track on the audio in order to keep the video up to preserve your comments, views, links, and favs. I did not see a problem and continue to see a problem with using a short tid-bit of audio from a band in a video so that I can flip through pics, and bands like Savage should be ashamed of there greedy attitude and bands like Snow Patrol and Angels and Airwaves …

Good job Mike!
Nice video—I hate them damn crossing bells that ring the whole time while the train is coming.
You and your camera did excellent work.Loved it.Your right about the snow it doe add to the effect. Thanks for sharing.
Great Vid Mike!
~David
Your right, the bell noise form the crossing system drowns out the steam engine. When we chased it, we already had in mind a location were it was just cross bucks so we didn’t have that bell.
it wos rubish
That train’s bell was spinning not swinging.
Great vid! In parts of this vid, you wouldn’t know if it was 2007, or 1913, besides the use of a camera like this and other modern things, but other than that really neat
That’s CUTE!
A beautiful machine.
sounds good without the ‘music’, bells and all
From a distance, it sounds a little bit like a clucking chicken. No, really, just a little bit anyway. It is a very nice video as well, thanks for sharing this
